No I bought it with Windows 10 and the backlight has never worked so far.The ATKACPI I mentioned is the only driver package I found on the Asus website (and other websites).But I recognised that although the ATK package was installed, the keyboard driver version in the device manager didn't change.Oh. In that case it sounds like it is just a defective product. Since it has never worked I would see about returning it.

Any ideas how to fix keyboard backlight? - brightness works on FN+F5/6(16 levels) - keyboard backlight does not working backlight FN+F3 down.

Seems to me that the backlight is just broke. It could simply be a loose connection, but I am not sure how laptop warranties work, if opening up the unit yourself will void the warranty or not.
